The Fraternal Order of Eagles in Plainfield hopes to book more comedy acts. The nonprofit has around 1200 members and is in the middle of its busy charity season.
They recently helped needy families with Christmas by taking parents to the store to purchase gifts and food for their children through the Eagles charity fund.
“That’s what the Fraternal Order of Eagles is. People helping people,” said Plainfield Fraternal Order of Eagles Head Trustee Marty Hickey.
“We hook them up and pride ourselves on doing this year after year.”
