Hendricks Regional Health hosting ninth annual bra art auction for cancer research

Hendricks Regional Health’s ninth annual Bra Art Auction will be held Sept. 28 to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.

Themed “Game On,” the event includes a tailgate buffet, beer and wine pull, silent and live auctions and a fashion show that pairs models with artistically-designed bras.

The funds benefit the American Cancer Society – Indiana, Indiana Women In Need Foundation and the Hendricks Regional Health Foundation.

The fundraiser also supports Jan’s Warriors, a group founded by HRH patient Janis Brunner from Brownsburg who started the organization after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017. The diagnosis motivated her to give back to others going through the same experience. She and a group of her friends started sewing comfort items for patients such as pillows, seat belt covers, blankets and port pillows to protect delicate skin around port sites from chafing and irritation.

She is one of hundreds of Hendricks County residents fighting for a cure.

The bra auction is for individuals ages 21 and over will be held at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds inside of Expo Hall, located at 1900 E. Main Street.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Guests are invited to wear their favorite jersey as they cheer on their favorite models and designed bras.
