Hendricks County Community Foundation grant redesigns park entrance

Brownsburg Parks recently learned it is the recipient of a $9,000 Community Project Grant from the Hendricks County Community Foundation. The grant will fund the addition of shade trees and native plantings to the redesigned Williams Park entry circle. Construction bids are due to go out by the end of the year to work on the circle can begin in the spring.

“Williams Park welcomes thousands of visitors annually,” said Park Director Travis Tranbarger. “This grant will provide beautiful natural elements to what we believe will be a stunning new feature at the park entrance.”

The grant will help Brownsburg Parks offset the cost of the renovation with non-tax dollars. The department continues to seek grants and sponsorships to reduce the cost of the project, which will be approximately $80,000.
