Giving back in the New Year

Giving back in the New Year

By Faith Toole

New year means the start of community fundraisers. The question for the guests, how will the chicken entree be prepared? Many of our community events will be held at the new Embassy Suites by Hilton in Plainfield including Sheltering Wings Premiere Event “Home” on Saturday, February 9th with guest Josh Kaufman, Indiana resident and 2009 winner of The Voice.

Hendricks Regional Health was the first event at Embassy Suites by Hilton in Plainfield with Chicago as the entertainment. The catered dinner by venue staff featured a specialty cocktail, Legacy of Giving Mule. The plated dinner was pork shank with and apple pear Demi glace, polenta mashed potatoes and green beans. Dessert was a decadent chocolate Boule. Guests enjoyed every morsel.

I look forward to being a part of our community as we give back, especially the food by Embassy Suites!
