It’s a pool party… for dogs only. Before the Hendricks Regional Health YMCA drains its pool in Avon for its annual cleaning, canines are invited to cool off and splash around.
The Doggie Dip event will be held Aug. 25 at the Avon YMCA and is open to non-aggressive pets that have updated vaccinations.
All sizes are welcome but swim times will be organized depending on the pet’s size. Dog paddling wanted.
Only dogs are going to be allowed in the pool. No owners.
The dip is $10 per dog. Due to the popularity of last year’s dip, organizers urge owners to sign up quickly. The event will fill up. You can sign your dog up online at activecommunities.com.
Small Dogs (under 40 lbs): 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Large Dogs (over 40 lbs): 3:45-4:45 p.m.
Large Dogs (over 40 lbs): 5:00-6:00 p.m.
