The Avon Police Department and the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department are investigating a one-vehicle accident, Aug. 31, that resulted in the death of a Danville woman.

According to an APD Facebook post, Reinie Ward, 20, Danville, was pronounced dead at the scene in a vehicle driven by Claude Moore Jr, 22, Indianapolis.
The vehicle, according to witnesses, was traveling westbound on US Hwy. 36 and collided with the embankment at Glenbrook Lane. Moore was extracted from the vehicle and taken by Avon/Washington Township Fire Department to Eskenazi Hospital, Indianapolis.
