Firefighters with the Brownsburg Fire Territory spent the early morning hours battling flames at a double residence located at 434 Elizabeth Lane.
Nobody was home at the time. The resident on the unimpacted side of the house was quickly evacuated without any injuries.
Crews worked aggressively to put out the flames. They were able to contain the fire to one side.
Brownsburg Fire was assisted by Washington Township/Avon Fire Department, Wayne Township, Pittsboro Fire and Danville.
The cause is under investigation.
