Worker killed in an apparent construction accident near Avon

A construction worker was killed after an accident involving a piece of excavating equipment at a residential construction site near Avon, according to the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office.
It happened on Tuesday, September 8 around 12 p.m. at the site in the 400 block of Foxboro Circle.
The deceased has been identified as Braxton Lee Lynch, 21, of Lebanon, a worker at the site, according to Captain Amanda Goings with the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the report of a deceased person at the site.

No details about the accident are being released at this time.

 

The Indiana Occupational Safety and Health Administration (IOSHA) is investigating.

“Our heartfelt condolences go out to all impacted by this tragedy,” said Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office Captain Amanda Goings.
