Two Avon juniors win scholarship essay contest

Two Avon High School students recently vied for and received the American Legion, Department of Indiana, Americanism and Government State Award. Rebecca Fales and Thomas Krienke, Jr., both juniors, each won a plaque and a $1,000 scholarship. This award was given to one boy and one girl based on their scores from the Americanism and Government multiple choice and essay test they took back in November.
