NAPA Balkamp in Plainfield will host a car wash challenge and family fun day on April 27. The goal is to wash over 6,277 cars in an 8-hour period at NAPA locations across the country.
The Plainfield team plans to take on at least 200 vehicles at its headquarters located at 2601 Stout Heritage Parkway.
It’s $5 per car rain or shine.
“Our strategy for speed is a relay-style wash” explains Vanessa Brown, associate category manager at NAPA Balkamp. “We will start with two people per car manning the hose,” she says.
The fundraiser will include bounce houses, food trucks, and a car show. Race car driver and 2016 Indy 500 winner Alexander Rossi will be available for a meet and greet from 1 to 3 p.m.
Proceeds at the event will go towards the Plainfield Legacy Foundation, an organization that works to enrich the educational experiences of students in the Plainfield Community School Corporation.
“The funds raised from our car wash will go towards a trade scholarship for one lucky student,” Brown said. “We are a proud partner with such a driven group of young individuals in the Plainfield community.”
