Whether she’s a seasoned photographer or a teenage girl whipping up macaroons, local women who own local businesses will be celebrated on Nov. 30 in Brownsburg as part of a new Small Business Saturday holiday shopping event
The first-time event will feature more than 30 vendors inside the Elevate Office in Brownsburg’s Arbuckle Commons. Shoppers can purchase holiday gifts, get discounts and mingle with one-stop.
Organizers say it’s a chance for small business owners to get their name out there.
“Many woman-owned small businesses don’t have a brick and mortar location and many have additional family commitments. This event allows for them to meet one on one and in one location to support each other, network and shop,” organizer Melanie McCloud said.
McCloud is the owner of Melz, a store for natural hemp-based products in Brownsburg.
The shopping event will raise funds and awareness for Project Angel. The nonprofit based in Avon helps struggling families in Hendricks County. A representative will be on hand to help anyone who wants to donate or get involved.
