Jason Andrews, pictured here, was clearly popular wherever he went.

Jason Andrews of Equity Financial Services in Plainfield was killed Monday afternoon as the result of a crash with a tractor trailer on I-65 near Greenville, AL.

Andrews was the driver of a Nissan Rogue that hit the trailer. He died at the scene.

“He was larger than life,” friend Justin Flora said. “He loved kids. He was a big teddy bear. Everybody that came into contact with him just loved him.”

“Jason was a force to be reckoned with in the fact that he was very much involved with this community,” Plainfield Chamber president Brad DuBois said. “He worked very hard to get where he is – a very successful young man. It’s a tragic loss for all of us. He definitely had an upward trajectory for sure. I had lunch with him two weeks ago, and he shared what he could do for Hendricks County. He had a great mindset, and he would’ve represented us very very well.”

A passenger in the car was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the trailer was not injured.

Taken at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 11, Jason Andrews (middle) is pictured with Justin Flora (left) and Geoff Bradley (right).
