After a COVID-forced hiatus, Ribfest is back! The 16th annual (well, sort of) event is tomorrow. All-knowing organizer and promoter Tom Downard joins us to answer everything. This year’s Ribfest is from 4-10 pm. at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds and Conference Complex, 1900 E. Main St., Danville. There will be ribs, hot air balloons, and beer! There is so much going on, we needed the guy who invented it to come and tell us all about it. Mild-mannered Downard spends the rest of his days as the executive director of the Avon Chamber of Commerce. In that capacity, he created the first Ribfest in 2005.
