Mustangs and more coming to Danville

By Lindsay Doty

The Mustang Club of Indianapolis will be at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds on July 27 for the 40th annual Race to Indy Mustang and All Ford Car Show.

“It’s going to be everything from 1964 Mustangs all the way up to brand new Mustangs and Fords too,” web promoter Jeff Brown said. “It’s great. Just lots of cool cars for people to see.”

The show attracts a variety of colorful and vintage cars.

Donald C. Davidson, Indianapolis Motor Speedway historian and radio host of “The Talks of Gasoline Alley” will be a guest speaker at the event.

The Mustang Club of Indianapolis was founded in 1978 under the name of “Indy Mustangs” with the purpose of encouraging the preservation and the enjoyment of the Ford Mustang manufactured from 1964 to 1973.

There will be food, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle drawing. Entry is $20 entry with proceeds going to Riley Children’s Hospital and Sheltering Wings in Danville.
