IU Health forms ‘suburban region,’ West Hospital president to lead

Puckett

Indiana University Health has formed an Indianapolis Suburban Region to include several of its area hospitals. The new region represents IU Health North, Saxony, Tipton and West hospitals, and any future expansion of services that might be considered in the south and east areas of suburban Indianapolis.

Doug Puckett, president, IU Health West Hospital, has assumed the role of president for IU Health Indianapolis Suburban Region.

“What a great honor and challenge it is to serve our IU Health team members and patients in this new Indianapolis Suburban Region role,” Puckett said. “I am eager to begin my personal journey to get to know our regional teams, and continue building on the tremendous successes already achieved to provide and improve care for patients in the communities we serve.”

Vasquez

Art Vasquez, chief financial officer (CFO) and chief operating officer, IU Health West Hospital, has been named president, IU Health West Suburban Area, which includes responsibility for IU Health West Hospital.

Vasquez came to IU Health in March 2016, from St. Catherine’s Hospital in East Chicago, Indiana, where he led strategic and financial planning as the CFO for the 190-bed hospital. Since then Vasquez has played a role in the growth of key services at IU Health West Hospital as well as the on-going expansion project.
