One person died May 13 in a motor vehicle accident in the 4100 block of south SR 75, just north of Coatesville.
A preliminary investigation by the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department indicates that at approximately 3:08 p.m., a Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on SR 75, when for an unknown reason, the Corolla drove left of center and was struck by a northbound tri-axle dump truck.
The driver of the Corolla, Alyssa Couch, 27, of Clayton, died at the scene and an infant passenger was taken to an Indianapolis hospital by medical helicopter. On Friday the infant was listed in stable condition. The driver of the dump truck was not injured. The investigation is ongoing at this time. Indiana State Police are assisting in the investigation.
