Brownsburg launches grant program to help small businesses prep for reopen

The Brownsburg Town Council approved a grant program on April 30 that will provide small
businesses an injection of funds to help ready their sites as owners prepare to reopen for business.

Business owners with 20 or fewer full-time employees can apply for up to $1,000 in grant funding

The Brownsburg Chamber of Commerce that represents more than 250 businesses supports the initiative.
“These business owners are the people with the vision, commitment, and spirit who have been the main ingredient in making our
community a great place to live, work and play,” said Executive Director Rhonda Wiles, who is helping get the word out about the program.
The grant application period opens today.
Some of the criteria to qualify for the grant are:
- Be located within the Town of Brownsburg
- Be a for-profit organization
- Employ 20 or fewer employees/FTEs
- Have owner support for the grant application
The full criteria is outlined in the grant application.
Applications will be accepted starting Monday, May 4. Funds will be distributed on a first come,
first-served basis until the $30,000 allocated to the program runs out.
