Brownsburg High School cross-country runner dies after practice

The community continues to offer prayers and condolences to teammates and loved ones of Brownsburg High School cross-country runner Logan Trout who passed away on Monday after practice.

According to an email sent to parents by Brownsburg High School principal Bret Daghe, Logan Trout experienced a “medical emergency” after Monday’s practice.

Coaches and trainers supplied emergency care before first responders took over. Trout was taken to the hospital where he passed away, according to the email that was shared by some parents.

The email asked families to keep Logan Trout and his family in their prayers and respect the family’s privacy.

“Logan was a good kid and the Trouts are good people! My kids are devastated and I’m just heartbroken… it’s so very sad,” said Kelly Ivic who has two children who were close with Trout.
Friends and teammates continue to share their memories of the friendly student-athlete.

Trout was a junior at Brownsburg High School. 

The district does not publicaly comment on student deaths.
